Frequently asked questions
What customers ask before booking.
Will myQ work with my existing opener?
Compatibility is model-specific. Many openers made after 1993 with suitable safety sensors are supported, but there are exclusions. We check the model against current manufacturer guidance before booking.
Is the battery door sensor the entire system?
No. On add-on systems the sensor reports door position; the control hub needs power and communicates with the compatible opener. Some openers already have myQ built in.
Do I need Wi-Fi in the garage?
A suitable connection at the device is required. Weak coverage should be addressed before relying on remote status or control.
Are subscriptions or vehicle integrations included?
We configure supported features in the agreed scope. Optional video, vehicle or third-party integrations may require separate hardware, eligibility or subscriptions; availability is checked for your model and region.
Does this include garage-door mechanical repairs?
This service covers compatible smart-control installation and configuration. Springs, tracks, balancing, motor replacement and mechanical repairs require a qualified garage-door service provider.
